Take a look at the earrings she's wearing. On the TV coverage of her arriving at the ceremony, they were talking about her outfit and accessories. When it got to the subject of her earrings, they said who they were by, and then added that Jennifer had "recently had her ears pierced especially to be able to wear them" for that event. This is confirmed by the magazine clipping here, which also mentions her having her ears pierced specifically for the Oscars™ ceremony, and this archived page from a Ben Affleck fan forum.
In more recent pictures, there's no sign of any holes in her ears, showing that after having her ears pierced in order to wear the earrings she had on at the Oscars™, she let them heal up once again. But this isn't the first time she's had her ears pierced... As these pictures below clearly show, she also had them pierced when she was 27, for her role in the TV movie, 'Aftershock: Earthquake In New York'.

As you can see from these pictures, the earrings she wore in this film were not clip-on ones, and are clearly normal pierced stud earrings. However, having had her ears done for this film, she then let her holes close up again. This meant that she then had to have them re-pierced again the next time she needed to wear pierced earrings.
